Format guide
What is WebP to JPG conversion?
WebP is a web-focused image format created to make pages load faster. Browsers often save product photos, thumbnails and illustrations as WebP, but some document editors, upload portals and older creative tools still expect a JPG file.
This converter turns a WebP image into a conventional JPEG. It keeps the original dimensions and places transparent areas on a white background because JPG does not support transparency. Hidden image metadata is omitted from the new copy.
When should I use it?
- Use an image downloaded from a website in software that does not open WebP.
- Submit a picture to a marketplace, form or CMS that lists JPG as required.
- Prepare a simple photo file for email, printing or a legacy workflow.
How it works
- 1Upload
Choose the supported file or files from your device.
- 2Process
The server validates the real file type and runs this operation.
- 3Download
Save the result. Temporary working files are deleted automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my image downloaded as WebP?
Many sites serve WebP automatically because it can reduce bandwidth while keeping good visual quality.
Is JPG more compatible than WebP?
Yes. WebP support is now broad in browsers, but JPG remains the safer choice for older software and strict upload systems.
What happens to transparency?
JPG cannot store transparent pixels, so transparent areas are rendered on a white background during conversion.
